Debut Book Cover Reveal

So last night, my agent updated me that my book cover for No Ordinary Thing was on Amazon. Which I had no idea.

The cover has been under-wraps for over a month. The publishing industry is very hush-hush and behind-the-scenes. I suppose Hollywood is the same way. Makes sense, when all the world’s a stage, right?

Without further ado… the cover for No Ordinary Thing!

This was designed by Gilbert Ford, one of my favorite cover artists. The first work I saw by him was for the book Peter Nimble by Jonathan Auxier, and I immediately fell in love with the cover. He’s the ingenious designer behind Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library and the Pseudonymous Bosch books. I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped when my publisher mentioned he was one of the designers they were considering. Below are some examples of his other brilliant works.

I really like the snow globe on the front cover, and the swirl of magic that surrounds it. Originally, the title was going to be something along the lines of, “The Tale of the Traveling Snow Globe.” But this new title fits the story well … even better, perhaps!
